Here I am now at the end of life
How did I end up here? Through a lifetime of strife
Stood on my two feet, pushed everyone away
Now I tried suicide, and let my existence decay


A fitting end to my miserable tale, as my rotting face turns pale
Tripping across the veil, or marching to my own hell
An artist needs to finish his work, even if he remains in the dark
At least I made my own mark, the tragic end to this narrative arc


If I end up alone, as everyone I loved rests together
Then I should go out on my own, my veins I should sever
Inflict my own punishment, the price of selfishness
Watching her love someone else, while my heart and soul deserve emptiness
